Matías Rivera, Head Winemaker
Matías is an Agronomist and Enologist. He graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago. He has been in the industry for over 14 years and is recogsnized as one of the best in the new generation of Chilean winemakers.
In 2007, Matías was awarded as "Winemaker of the Year" by the Circle of Gastronomical Journalists of Chile, for his excellent work reflected in the quality and consistency of its wines.
Matías joined Santa Helena on February 2008. The offer of taking in his hands both the General Management and its enological control -and therefore control the process from the vineyard to the brand creation in the external markets-, was too appealing a project for him.
