On Monday, July 9th, there was an exclusive gala dinner to celebrate the winners of the seventeenth edition of the W Santiago Catad'or Wine Awards which took place between the 7th and 9th of July at the W Hotel in Santiago.

In this ocassion, Viña Santa Helena obtained a Gold Metal for its Parras Viejas Cabernet Sauvignon, vintage 2009, from Colchagua Valley.

W Santiago Catad'or is considered the most important wine and spirits contest in Chile. This latest edition of the contest featured around 500 samples from a hundred Chilean wineries, including household names and emerging wineries. All of the samples were judged with a blind tasting.

The jury comprised renowned and respected experts from Chile and abroad. The results of the contest help generate publicity, interviews and business contacts for the local participating wineries, as well as significant global coverage of Chile's excellent wines.
