Santa Helena was founded on 1942 and was acquired by the San Pedro Group in 1994. At the moment it is one of the largest wineries of the Colchagua Valley with a total of 334 planted hectares.

Santa Helena is part of San Pedro Tarapacá Wine Group and together with another 10 wineries form the second Wine holding company in Chile. Besides Santa Helena, San Pedro and Tarapacá, the group includes Misiones de Rengo, Altair, Viña Mar, Casa Rivas, Tabalí, Leyda, and in Argentina Finca La Celia and Tamarí.
Santa Helena is owned by CCU -the largest beverages producer and manufacturer in Chile, associated with Heineken NV.- and represents 10% of the group's invoicing and has the backup and stability that allow it to compete in a globalized world.
